'Twas a Week After Christmas...

...and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, especially the 26 pound 37 inch baby that has decided to take full residency inside the womb. But, it's been long enough and I need to post, so here goes Christmas, 2009!

The Annual Marotz Christmas Party:

The kids' table. I'm not sure how much eating took place, but they were entertained by one another none the less.
Waiting so patiently for their turn with Santa.
And clean-up was so much fun! Too bad I don't get this kind of participation at home.

We ended the night with a few [hundred] games of lightning. As much as I wanted to participate, I decided to be the designated picture-taker instead. This was when the finals came down to Steve and Hunter. Hunter took his Dad down!
Christmas Eve:
Every year, Steve gets each of the kids something that he's picked out on his own. (One of my favorite parts of Christmas by-the-way) He can wait about as long as the kids when it comes to giving the Christmas gifts, so he let them open their present from him on Christmas Eve.
Gage opened the gift meant for Hayden. (She felt the larger gift was better...) He immediately said, "Oh Hayden, you really should have taken this one!" She quickly agreed and switched when she saw that it was Club Penguin for her Nintendo DS. (Hopefully a valuable lesson learned.)
So Gage got to open a second gift as well. A much more fitting tractor set for him.
And ACDC Live for the Rock Band for Hunter. (And his dad...)
Christmas Morning:

Zhu Zhu Pet
The John Deere ripper that was the one and only thing he asked for.
A brotherly high-five for the farting goop that Gage picked out for Hunter.
The 2009 Hill Family book that features the exciting things that happened during the year.
And the discovery of the Wii Fitness Plus that was so cleverly hidden by that tricky Santa.
At Grandma Mabel and Grandpa Vic's:
I love the surprise reactions on their faces. He got the Transformers 2 movie,
and Hayden got a boxed set of some of her favorite Fairy books.
More farming stuff. It doesn't get any better!
It was a very fun Christmas and I appreciate all of the thoughtfulness from everyone. It truly is a wonderful time of year!
