We went from this...
...to this, within two days! Ugh! :P
And then we teased ourselves, and went to this a couple days later...
It was a great trip to Utah to see family and "borrow" their weather for a couple days. It was Tate's first time actually walking on grass and sadly, he wasn't too fond of it!

Just For Fun
4 1/2 years later, this set of cousins are now the big brothers to...
...this set of cousins.
The first picture is Gage (5 months) and Jace (one week) and the second picture is Kole (6 months) and Tate (3 months).

It's a .......
We gathered the family into the little ultrasound room at the Dr.'s office yesterday and found that we are adding an already wiggly, bouncing, rolly-polly, ready to defend itself baby
......BOY......
to our family. We're so excited and Hayden Sue is holding up stronger than ever! (Way better than I gave her credit for...) I believe the thought of just having a baby around is enough for her and in 2-3 years when the little guy moves down to the "boys' domain" in the basement, Hayden will be more than ready to have her own room again!

Gagerisms (Oh yes, there's more)
Sunday night, we were all down the basement watching a movie. I was sitting next to Steve and Gage was laying to the side of me. He was so mello when all of a sudden, PlOp, he rolled right off the couch. He sat up, thought to himself and said, "Huh, didn't see that one comin'."
.........................................................
During the same movie, there was a part where the main character was getting a bit tiffed at one of the other characters. Gage piped up and said, "I think he just needs to simma down now!"
.........................................................
He occassionally asks when he gets to be "bath-tized" in the water like Hayden did.
.........................................................
A week or so before Christmas he and I were home. I asked what he wanted for lunch and he of course answered, "racaroni." I continued on - unsurprised - and said, "You love macaroni, huh! Maybe you should ask Santa for some macaroni for Christmas." He thought a second and answered, "I don't want it for Christmas, I want it for lunch!"
.........................................................
During December, he kept asking for the "French" movie. It took me quite sometime to figure out that the "French" movie consisted of that green monster guy who took all the presents and stuff away from the little people.
.........................................................
We were sitting in Primary a few weeks ago and Gage kept telling me he wanted to see the "Spaceship Guy." I prodded a bit and he told me, "You know, the "spaceship guy" who gives me candy." Oh yes, the Bishop. Use your imagination here. Space-ship...Bi-shop...
All from the mouth of a 3-year old. Things would be so boring without one!

co-op-er-a-tive: \ko-'a-p(e-)re-tiv\
After I took the picture in the post below of all three holding their little cottages, I told Hunter he could at least look excited. He truly was in a good mood last night and was very cooperative to take the time and give me a really good picture. I should have included it with the other post but now he's got the spotlight to himself! Pictures are supposed to be worth a thousand words, but if that were really true it would mean that Hunter is always grumpy and never smiling. So not true. He's just not big on pictures. He's actually a pretty good kid! Thanks bud!

Twilight...Up Close & Personal

Oh yea, we went. What? Who? What's this "we" business? Yes, Steve sucked it up and went with me! What a man! A whole group of wives & husbands went and other than the fact that we waited in line for 45 minutes (with pre-paid tickets no less) and still ended up on the frOnT Row, it was worth it! We couldn't stand up straight for a good 10 minutes but we all did manage to still walk out with our heads held high...mainly because our necks were so kinked that we seriously just had to hold our heads high.

A Great Big Thank You!
Thank you all so much for the blog comments, e-mails and phone calls for Hayden's birthday! She was so excited! And as a mom, it brings goosebumps all over to know people are thinking about my "little" girl!

Gagerisms (with a little from Hunter & Hayden)
I love the idea of posting the cute (and not so cute) things that the kids say. Hayden is always wanting me to put "Kids' Sayings of the Day" over on the sidebar, but after they get so old, their sayings are sometimes just things you have to roll your eyes at and think, oh my, sadly they learned that from me. A few that I want to remember are:
..................................................................
After Hunter asked me to do something for him, I replied, "Sure." Hunter said, "You're the best Mom ever." Gage answered with, "But you're not the best cooker ever."
Sadly, too true.
.................................................................
Gage stubbed his toe a couple days ago. As I was checking things out, I asked him which toe hurt. Whining, he answered, "The one that went to market."
................................................................
As I was painting Hayden's fingernails a few weeks ago, she said, "You are so good at this. You should be a nail-a-tition."

During the last few stressful seconds before church, I was sending everyone out to the car so that I could silently regroup and make sure I had everything. Steve made a little sarcastic remark as he headed out. No harm done, but I told Gage to go tell Dad he was a sMarT AlEc. Gage enthusiastically ran out the door and yelled, "Dad, you're a ... AliGaTor!" Um, close....

Smarty Pants
Okay, Hayden is totally addicted to blogging now! (Only natural...) But as I sit with her and blog away, I have realized that her crazy number association thing that I have mentioned before is not just with numbers. Every time we comment on someone's blog, she takes the weird letters, (the word verification thingy-majigy) and tries to play Boggle, making up different words that they could be. Geez, sometimes I can't even figure out what the actual letters are let alone what else they could be! Am I the only one who fails these particular spelling bee's?

Happy Birthday Steven O!
I could really put whatever I wanted to about him here because he doesn't check it, but I won't. (You're welcome dear.) The kids all just woke up and went outside while Steve was mowing the lawn to yell, "Happy Birthday, Dad!" So cute. And Hayden just asked him to guess how old he was. (He was wrong.) So a big Happy Birthday to you & have a great day!

What the heck is a blog?!?!
What have I just done? I am so computer illiterate and now I am supposed to think that other people could possibly be interested in our day-to-day life? (At my rate, it will definately not be a "day-to-day" post.)
Below, is my first picture. Don't worry if you can't see it. I haven't figured out how to do that part yet.
Have a great day! We all know what I'm going to be doing.
