The Bus

I love my kids very much! That being said, I dread school mornings while they wait for the bus! They argue over who watches for the bus, who goes out the door first, who gets onto the bus first, etc. Hayden and Gage are the main offenders, but Hunter enjoys sparking the fire...So, we told them if they couldn't work it out, we would help them. And that we did...

It's hard to tell, but Steve very kindly walked them out to the bus holding their hands. I tried taking pictures but they're blurry due to my laughing.

Did it help? Kind of. Hunter laughed the whole time and Gage and Hayden still argued over who was going to have to sit by him after they got on. No, Steve didn't ride with them, but now they know...

What the...?

Hunter had an assignment in one of his classes to make a cake look like _______________. I want to know if anyone can figure out what this is and then let me know if it's just me in thinking that this was a rather strange assignment.

Go-Gurt Attack

Gage was having a mid-morning snack yesterday and helped himself to a Go-Gurt yogurt tube. Mr. Independant insisted on opening it himself. A minute or so later he came to me with that puppy dog sorry look and said, "I spilled." I checked the scene of the accident and found that he did indeed spill a bit on the kitchen tile. No problem. As I was wiping it up, commenting to him that I was glad he told me what had happened so that I could get it cleaned up, I noticed there was more about a foot away from the original splatter. That's fine. And then I noticed more, and more. Holy cow! He had quite the fight gettin' that thing open.

And then an hour or so later, we were eating lunch when all of a sudden, he started laughing and talking about the "blue spiders." What???
That's right. Somehow he had managed to splatter Berry Blue Blast yogurt on the 10-foot vaulted ceiling. I was told that it would be fine, just go get the ladder. Oh yea, no problem!!! I'm embarassed to say that yes, it is still up there. I'll get to it today. Although, I wonder how long it would take Steve to notice it up there...

And on top of it all, after Gage noticed it up there he commented on how good it was that he told me about it so that I could get it cleaned up. What a sweetheart?!?!
