New Family in Town

I quietly caught this picture as Hayden and Gage were playing "house." Eavesdropping like only a mother could, I heard Hayden tell Gage to wait at home while she went to the hospital to have a baby. (Note to self: Explain to her that the husband MuSt be at the hospital at AlL times to see just how miraculously wonderful child birth really is) Then she hollers to him to answer his cell phone. He obeys (like a husband AlWaYs does...) and she tells him that she had a baby girl. She then came in and had him sit on the couch for the first family picture. (You can see her holding the cell phone taking the picture)Now their cute little family consists of Gage, Hayden, big sister Alive, new baby Lacey and of course the pet dolphins.

This one makes me so proud. Gage is cooking while she tells him what to do. Trust me, they didn't get this one from Steve and I. Okay, maybe the "telling him what to do" part.

(This just keeps getting better and better, even as I type. I'm not sure when this post will be finished because they just keep going.)

Here they are sitting down to dinner and saying the blessing. (Hayden whispered to her doll what to say) And I kid you not, before the blessing Gage held his "remote" and said, "Wait, I need to turn off the football game first." And after the blessing, he motioned for it to turn back on. And on top of that, Hayden told him, "No Gage, you don't need to watch T.V. while we are trying to eat dinner." (All too familiar.)

And now, it's bedtime. Gage with "remote" in hand, comments that he needed to finish watching the football game. Hayden says, "Ahh, I wanted to watch a cooking show." Gage gives in and says, "Football's not on. You can watch your show."

Seriously, what good are Steve and I anyway?

That's hilarious! What a cute "couple."

It is amazing what kids pick up from their parents.

I'm laughing so hard right now I can only imagine how funny this was for YOU!!!!

This is one of life's sweet moments. So great you captured it in pictures and words.

As for the football...Hayden will soon learn that even when the blissfull season is over there is still baseball, basketball, extreme fighting, and on, and on, and on....

What a man that Gage is (it's a good thing he has Hayden to train him up right)!! She's got him cooking, turning off the football game, and raising dolphins...what more could you ask for?? He's gonna make one heck of a hubby some day :)

How fUnNy!!! Doesn't every family have two pet dolphins? Do you really watch cooking shows, I wouldn't have guessed that! I'm sure you can make a mean batch of RKT though :)
